Trinidad Rum Punch

Type: Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 tspn Angostura BittersFlavour enhancer made from herbs, spices and berries. Only a few dashes are added to cocktails so a bottle lasts a long time.
  • 500 g Caster SugarFine white sugar.
    Substitute: Normal white or brown sugar, but stir or shake the cocktail well!
  • 75 cl Dark RumSpirit distilled from fermented sugar cane. Dark rum originates from Jamaican and is full bodied and usually matured for around 5 years.
  • 40 cl Lemon JuiceFreshly squeezed lemon juice or the bottled lemon juice you can buy in the grocery store - up to you.
  • 1 litre WaterTap or bottled water - your choice.


Method:

Boil water and mix in the sugar to dissolve.
Mix with remaining ingreidents.
Serve hot with a sprinkle of nutmeg.

Serves: 20 people

Note: Use Trinidad rum for an authentic drink.
