Brandy Punch

Type: Punch

Ingredients:

  • 50 cl BrandySpirit distilled from wine of grapes or other fruits e.g. see Apricot Brandy, Cherry Brandy or Blackberry Brandy. Normal non-flavoured brandy is smooth to taste and amber in colour.
  • 12 cl Dark RumSpirit distilled from fermented sugar cane. Dark rum originates from Jamaican and is full bodied and usually matured for around 5 years.
  • 1 Orange (Whole)Whole, fresh orange - the rind and/or shell can also be used when this is required in a cocktail.
  • 30 cl Ginger AleSoda with natural extract of ginger but milder in flavour than ginger beer e.g. Canada Dry.
  • 3 cl Lemon JuiceFreshly squeezed lemon juice or the bottled lemon juice you can buy in the grocery store - up to you.
  • 1 tblspn Pineapple ChunksTinned or fresh pineapple, cut into bite sized chunks.
  • 20 cl WaterTap or bottled water - your choice.
  • 1 tblspn RaspberriesA fruit berry - preferably fresh


Method:

Slice the orange.
Mix all ingredients except ginger ale in a punch bowl.
Cover and chil for a few hours.
Add ginger ale and ice to bowl to serve.

Serves: 7 people
