Hot Chocolate Mint

Type: Hot Drink

Ingredients:

  • 5 msr Cocoa / Chocolate MilkDairy or non-dairy milk flavoured with chocolate syrup, powder or cocoa to taste.
  • 1 tblspn CreamDairy or non-dairy cream. Use whipping cream where possible, as some recipes require a portion of the cream to be whipped and floated on top of the drink.
  • 1 msr Peppermint SchnappsStrong, dry potato or grain-based spirit, re-distilled with peppermint flavouring.
    Substitute:White creme de menthe or any other mint liqueur if you're not worried about your cocktails being 100% authentic.


Method:

Heat cocoa and sweeten to taste.
Combine cocoa and schnapps in a heatproof Irish Coffee glass.
Top with cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
