Type: Champagne Cocktail
- 3 msr BourbonAmerican-style whiskey distilled from fermented cereal and aged in oak casks e.g. Wild Turkey, Jack Daniels, Rebel Yell.
Substitute: American blended whiskey, Tennessee whiskey
- 1/2 glass ChampagneFrench sparkling wine, usually produced from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
Substitute: Sparkling wine, if you're on a budget!
- 4 Mint (Sprigs)Whole sprigs of fresh mint
- 1 msr Sugar SyrupMake your own sugar syrup by dissolving equal quantities of water and sugar before simmering gently for 2 minutes. Cool and store in a bottle or jug.
Add syrup & mint to a collins glass or Julep cup
Crush mint with spoon to release flavour, if desired
Stir whilst adding crushed ice
Top up with champagne
Arrange sprigs, stalks down
Serve with straws & a napkin
