- 3 drops Angostura BittersFlavour enhancer made from herbs, spices and berries. Only a few dashes are added to cocktails so a bottle lasts a long time.
- 4 msr ChampagneFrench sparkling wine, usually produced from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
Substitute: Sparkling wine, if you're on a budget!
- 1 Sugar CubeSugar in the form of a cube - rather than powdered.
- 1 msr Vermouth (Rosso)Vermouth is a fortified wine flavoured with herbs, bark and plant extracts. Rosso is based on red wine, sweetened with caramel e.g. Dubonet.
Thoroughly frost a wine glass
Place sugar cube in glass
Add Angostura to glass
Place a large ice cube in glass
Add remaining ingredients
Squeeze a lemon twist on top & discard
Note: Use Dubonnet for the authentic cocktail
