Type: Long and Creamy Drink
- 1 msr CognacFrench brandy distilled from white wine and matured in oak casks - VSO means very superior old; VSOP means very superior old pale; VVSOP means very very superior old (really!); XO means extremely old. Substitute: Brandy.
- 1 msr CreamDairy or non-dairy cream. Use whipping cream where possible, as some recipes require a portion of the cream to be whipped and floated on top of the drink.
- 3 msr Cream SodaSweet, non-alcoholic cream flavoured soda.
- 1 msr Peppermint SchnappsStrong, dry potato or grain-based spirit, re-distilled with peppermint flavouring.
Substitute:White creme de menthe or any other mint liqueur if you're not worried about your cocktails being 100% authentic.
Fill a highball glass with ice
Shake & strain ingredients - excluding cream soda - into glass
Add the cream soda
Note: Some types of cream soda may congeal the cream. Use whipping cream if available
