Pineau Flip
Type: Short Drink
Ingredients:
- 3/4 msr CognacFrench brandy distilled from white wine and matured in oak casks - VSO means very superior old; VSOP means very superior old pale; VVSOP means very very superior old (really!); XO means extremely old. Substitute: Brandy.
- 1 Egg (Whole)Whole, raw egg, still in the shell
- 1 1/2 msr Pineau Des Charentes (White)Liqueur made by blending grape juice and cognac and maturing in a cask.
Where you'll find it in the duty free shop: Charentes, France - 1/2 msr Sugar SyrupMake your own sugar syrup by dissolving equal quantities of water and sugar before simmering gently for 2 minutes. Cool and store in a bottle or jug.
Method:
Beat the egg thoroughly.
Shake and strain the ingredients into a champagne saucer.
Sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
