Best served in a liqueur / cordial glass
Type: Short Drink
- 1/2 msr AnisetteSweet aniseed-flavoured liqueur.
- 1/2 msr Chartreuse (Green)Liqueur flavoured with lots of different herbs - available in green or yellow varieties, green being higher in alcohol content.
Where you'll find it in the duty free shop: France
- 3/4 msr CognacFrench brandy distilled from white wine and matured in oak casks - VSO means very superior old; VSOP means very superior old pale; VVSOP means very very superior old (really!); XO means extremely old. Substitute: Brandy.
- 3/4 msr Triple SecSweet, orange Curacao.
Substitute: Cointreau if you're not worried about your cocktails being 100% authentic.
Stir and strain the ingredients into a liqueur glass.
Note: This cocktail was originally made in layers with twice the volume of ingredients. Also known as a Champerelle or Shamparelle.
